Know Your Garment Fit Preference

When you choose to provide body measurements, we require you to let us know your fit preference, meaning we would like you to let us know how you want the silhouette to appear.

In general, there are three types of garment fits and these fit exhibit your personal choice. 
Below we give you some standard dimensions that go with your fit preference. It just to give you an idea though we are more than willing to make changes to standards as per your requirements. Please refer to the table below. As an example, if your body chest measurement is 36 cm, and you prefer to go for a slim fit, expect to have a jacket with cheest circumference of around 46 cm.

5 cms bigger than the body chest

10 cms bigger than the body chest

15 cms bigger than body chest

Waist

4 cms bigger than the body circumference
8 cms bigger than the body circumference
12 cms bigger than the body circumference

Hemline

5 cms bigger than the body circumference
10 cms bigger than the body circumference
15 cms bigger than the body circumference

Shoulder

1.5 cms bigger on both sides
1.5 cms bigger on both sides
1.5 cms bigger on both sides

Sleeves

General Rules for a Fit Blazer

  1. The shoulder seam should meet at the shoulder bone
  2. Sleeves should cover the wrist bone
  3. The blazer should not pull when buttoned (even when sitting down)
  4. Armholes should fit close to the arms while still allowing movement 

General Rules for a Fit Dresses

  1. The torso should lay flat and should be free of draglines
  2. Horizontal shoulder seams should sit across the shoulder (if it leans then the fit is not right)
  3. Sleeveless dresses should not expose the bra

General Rules for a Fit Trousers

  1. The waistband should be able to fit 2 fingers inside of it to ensure proper fit
  2. When standing, pants should be free of wrinkles/puckers/excess fabric 
  3. Trouser hems should hang 1” from the ground, touching your instep and covering half the heel, or hang ¼” form the ground if it’s a floor-skimming style
  4. Side seams should hang perpendicular to the floor

General Rules for a Fit Skirts

  1. It should be possible to gather an inch of fabric at the waist when standing 
  2. Skirt with slits should remain shut when standing still
  3. Bias cut skirts should hang smoothly
  4. The hemline should fall evenly all-around being free from any rising
